Picture of myself

Hello! My name is Christopher Smith and you’ve reached mycardboardbox, my little slice of the internet which has been used for many different things over the last three years. Currently it’s acting as my blog, which discusses a range of different technology related topics from programming (php, perl, javascript), web design (html/css) and the raspberry pi to non technology related topics such as football , general musings and sometimes a picture of a funny cat. Seriously.

Tell me more!

Okay! I’m currently 22 years old and have spent most of my life in Leicester where I grew up, once I finished with compulsory education I travelled all the way up north to Huddersfield; where I attended The University of Huddersfield studying Computer Games Technology.

In my second year of university I met my current girlfriend Bex whom I now live with, and on completing University I moved permanently to Huddersfield and got a job in Leeds with Smoothwall as an Internet Analyst.

My biggest passions in life are programming and web design which I’ve been doing since the age of 12, Football (did I mention that Leicester City are the greatest?) and playing video games.

I always try and keep up with technology and have found over the years that the greatest way to learn something new is to dive in head first, without looking, break everything and then either fix it or reinstall the operating system for the 14th time.

If you’d like to get in touch then send me an email at chris@mycardboardbox.co.uk or leave a comment below.

Much love,
